In this episode, Neil Melancon how the Japanese tradition of raising koi has made a splash in Louisiana. Karl Wiggers takes us to St. Helena Parish for the Warner Hall Field Day. Avery Davidson shows us how Louisiana Farm Bureau can bring the farm to you this holiday season. We also get an update on the harvest of Louisiana's sweetest commodities-- sugarcane and sweet potatoes.

Plus, we see why a group of LSU faculty interested in fashion recently took a trip to Vidalia, and we learn a little more about GMOs in a new edition of Label Lessons.

TWILA's Karl Wiggers takes us to West Baton Rouge Parish, where the sweet crop is off to a not-so-sweet start. TWILA's Neil Melancon shows how one Louisiana native is merging Louisiana alligator hunting with Japanese art form. For over 100 years, 4-H has inspired families, shaped careers, and impacted communities. Farming continues to be one of the most dangerous occupations in the country. That's why September 17-23rd is designated as National Farm Safety and Health Week. This week, TWILA's Karl Wiggers introduces us to a farmer in Franklin Parish who was recently involved in a farm-related car accident. Avery Davidson takes us to Grant Parish to talk about the importance of grain bin safety. Neil Melancon travels to Vermilion Parish to show us how the struggle on rice farms right now is representative of what many in rural areas are facing.
