TWILA: August 7, 2026
Harvest takes center stage on this week’s TWILA! We meet a northeast Louisiana corn farmer finally bringing in a crop he was forced to replant after a March freeze and hear why Arkansas rice farmers are cutting acres as low prices and rising costs squeeze margins. We also head to the Port of New Orleans as Louisiana rice sets sail for Kenya through the Food for Peace program, see conservation at work through the Louisiana Master Farmer Program and join Grant Parish farmers for a special Blessing of the Harvest. Plus, kids get a hands-on look at where their food comes from through gardening, science and homemade pizza.
